Your Face Lift Consultation

Whilst most older individuals are suitable for a Face Lift, it is important to appreciate that the procedure improves the present state of tissues and as such, will give a more youthful appearance. It will not however, make you look younger. Results differ from patient to patient, and the thickness and elasticity of your skin will play a role in the end result.

Face Lift Surgery Perth: The Operation

An overnight stay is required. Small surgical drains will be placed under the skin and removed the morning after surgery. Prior to surgery you will have purchased a compression garment that holds the tissues in position. This will be worn from the morning after surgery when the initial dressings have been removed. You are encouraged to wear it as much as possible for the first 6 weeks.

After Your Face Lift Surgery

Most stitches dissolve. Make up will cover most bruises by 1 week. At 2 weeks most patients are back to normal activities. Heavy exercise should be postponed for 6 weeks. You may drive at 48 hours, swim at 2 weeks and play golf at 4 weeks. The numb skin that results from the surgery will take several months to recover.
